My car failed it's smog test. There is a broken wire in the evaporative purge solenoid pigtail. I've tried to find a used one since they don't make them anymore. No luck. Is there any way I can replace the wire inside or stick it back together. The guys all say the wire is too short. If I knew the connectors and the wire sizes, could I construct a pigtail? I fix computers.

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Mary, Its hard to say without seeing it, but as long as you can construct a harness to flow electricity it should work. You should be able to locate a repair manual at your local auto parts store, so you can view the harness, and know the connectors from the ECU to the module.
