Answers from the Automotive Experts

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Angie, Thank You for writing into AskPatty!! To address your question, there are many brands that virtually perform the same function ( cleaning your fuel system of carbon deposits) brands such as STP, Amsoil, SeaFoam, are all great starting points. Hope this helps! A. J. Pierce

Judy Curry, Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing at Currys Auto Service Angie, We recommend BG fluids. Specifically, BG's MOA for your oil and 44K for gas. We've been using their products with great results for many years. Check out BG Product's website for more details: http://www.bgprod.com/home.html Thanks for the great question! Judy

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Angie, I'm not a big fan of additives. If you run good quality gas in your engine and change the oil at regular intervals...you shouldn't need anything else. I've never put in additives and I have 297,000 miles on my vehicle.
