I bought a used Volkswagen Jetta GLX 2.8 liter and I want to change the oil and I looked up the oil filter and there wasn't one so is there one or not?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Barb Petrey, President - DBK Enterprises Inc at Jiffy Lube Yes you do have an oil filter mileguard part number is ch9461. Go to an auto parts store and they can help you with the number and where it is

Judy Curry, Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing at Currys Auto Service All cars have oil filters. The most likely reason you did not see one for your car is that the manufacture you were looking at does not make one for your car.

Laurie Sarno, Co-Owner at Super Girls Auto Hello Colin, Without the year of the car I cannot tell you exactly where it is but a lot of VW*s have them in the oil pan - accessible from the bottom there is a cartridge. You can also contact a VW dealer to ask them where it is located. Hope this helps- Thanks Super Girls Auto.
