O2 Sensors or Oxygen sensors and named just that!
You can visit your local auto parts store, and request the specifications and part number if you wanted to shop or cross reference on line for a better price.

Your Xterra has four sensors. You*ll find them online as oxygen sensors, but beware, not all O2 sensors are created equal. Sometimes aftermarket sensors can create different problems. In my own car I always use OE parts for certain repairs and this would be one of the those!

There are 4 oxygen sensors listed for your 2001 Xterra. Ho2S1 is front bank one (right)and has a black wire. Ho2S1 is front bank two (left)and has a blue wire. Ho2S2 is rear bank one (right)and has a white or gray wire. Ho2S1 is rear bank two (left)and has a red or red/brown wire. The parts department will most likely have them labled as
Heated Oxygen Sensor with the bank listed.
