Unfortunately water cannot be compressed so it does damage to the engine inside the cylinders.
You will need to have your vehicle towed to a repair facility to access the damage. Keep in mind that you may need a new engine, as the worst case scenario, or a top half rebuild which could be around $2000 or more. Good luck. If this happened in a flood you may be able to collect from your insurance.
