I have a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire. The horn started going off, so a mechanic took off the steering wheel cover so he could caught off the horn. He claims the cover was broken. He also claims that the dealer would have to sell me the whole thing instead of just the cover, which would be about $400.00. I know I saw a cover on-line, but do not remember where. Do you happen to know where I can get one?
I appreciate your help,
Try http://www.autoanything.com to locate your steering wheel cover.
If you are sure there was no previous damage to the cover, you may want to take this up with the manager or someone of higher authority at the dealership. At the very least, you could request that they sell you the cover at cost, or at an even further reduced rate (as in the two entities split the cost). Good luck with this.
