What could be wrong with my air conditioner? I have a 2002 Ford Explorer that has 66k miles. The fan on the air conditioner is hardly blowing. It does not change when the speed dial is adjusted - including max air. It seems to be blowing slightly more at the round vents at the top of the dash.
By your description, it seems your blower motor controls has malfunctioned. It is a variable speed resistor, and you may have faulty diodes.

It sounds like a blower motor problem. It may just be that you need a new relay since it*s only blowing on low.
This should not be very costly if that is the problem.
Also if the knob is a dial, pull it off and make sure that it is not cracked and spinning on the post. In that case it may be that you just need a new knob. If you can turn the post with a pair of pliers and everything works...it is the knob.
This will not be the case if you are pushing buttons however.
