Purchase a car for the absolutely lowest amount you can and then go to work on your credit. Pull all three of your credit reports, correct any mistakes, call all of the institutions that are reporting negative actions and try to work them out. It can take a good long while to do this, but after it is done then you can purchase a better vehicle. Going into a Buy Here Pay Here lot can cost you a lot of extra money and put you in a position where you can never clean up your credit. Contact a Non Profit Credit Counseling service to help you through the process.
