I have a 2004 mazda3 automatic with 67K miles. I am currently experiencing major transmission issues and I am approx. 10K out of warranty. I have discovered that this is an issue with this car in this year. Do you have an advice on negotiating with the company to at least meet me half way on the repairs? I feel that 67K is an awfully low number of miles to experience complete transmission failure. However, I do realize that I am outside of the warranty and want to be reasonable.

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Ivy, I would research warranty and repair bulletins in reference to your concern, and pay a visit to the service manager of your local Mazda dealership. Sometimes corporations will agree to assist in the repair if you have all your ducks in a row. I recommend researching the problem further and providing those documents to a service manager with questions seeking further recommendations. AJ Pierce
