I have a 2005 mercury sable. How do I remove the front wheel bearing assembly.

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Steven, It looks like the wheel bearing is not pressed into the knuckle, so you should be able to loosen the bolts for the wheel hub and remove it as an assembly. Before you do this you will need to remove the wheel knuckle. This usually requires a special removal tool. I would suggest that you find a service manual with pictures to help you with this procedure and to make sure that you properly torque the bolts after replacement. Lori Johnson
