What is an ect water temperature signal circuit and where can I find it on the car? Can I change it myself? My car also is stating that the cylinder 2 misfire is detected and a cylinder 3 is misfiring. Could this possibly mean their is a problem with the head?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Jeanette, You misfire may be an indication that you need your spark plugs and wires replaced. (ECT) is an acronym for "engine coolant temperature", you would have to look at a repair manual for location and instructions on replacement of the coolant temperature sensor to decide if you could replace this yourself. AJ Pierce

Donna Burmeister, Service Manager at Classic Nissan Could be a bad injector, coil ,or spark plug just to name a few things.
