How difficult is it to replace the cabin air filters on a Honda CRV 2006.
I noticed that they can be ordered over the internet and they offer a P (particle) or a C (carbon). I do not know the difference. Can you help?
Any instructions on how to replace them?
You usually need to remove the glove box and access and remove a panel/bracket to replace your cabin air filter. Activated carbon filter possess
amounts of granular virgin carbon to filter out chemicals, gases and odors. Particle filters are a type that captivates more particles than odors and gases.

You will need to open the glove box and remove the glove box stops on both sides. This will allow you to hang the glove box down.
Behind it you will find the cabin air filter. You must first remove the cover and then pull the filter towards you.
Simply replace the filter, the cover and re-install the glove box stops and you're good to go. Make sure you check the arrows marked on the side of the filter so they face the direction of the flow.
It looks like the price should only be around $13 for the filter. Hope this helps.
