How do I remove blemishes from my vinyl dashboard? I noticed some greasy spots and tried to wipe them clean with a baby wipe that I had in the car. I made it much worse like I scratched it or removed the finish. I tried just soap and water and then Armor All but that did not work. Please help. Thank you.
Hi there- sorry you are having such a messy time with this!
Vinyl can be finicky- I'd try using Goo be gone (they sell it in the stores and also works great for gum too) or Meguiars makes a special Vinyl cleaner that works very well. You can buy the Meguiars in any auto parts store like Advanced Auto or chain store like WalMart .
Make sure to follow the instructions explicitly on either formula.

I think it may be time to call in the experts.
You have used 3 different products to remove a greasy spot and all have reacted in a different way,
I would take your car to a professional detailer and ask their professional opinion. I can*t imagine they would charge much for a small spot.
All My Best,

It's hard to determine what to use, when you don't know what the spot came from. I suggest taking to a upholstery shop, they may have a suggestion on how or what would remove it.
