Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Dawn, According to the mileage your neon may need a basic tune up; i.e, spark plugs and wires, fuel filter, transmission flush. 90k+ miles you are in need of a timing belt replacement. AJ Pierce

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Dawn, Your vehicle needs air, spark and fuel to run. If any of these are not performing adequately, then you can have a run problem. When was the last time you had a tune up? Bad spark plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter...any one of these could be the problem. Your best bet is to have a technician diagnose the problem before it gets worse and becomes a more expensive repair or the vehicle stops running all together. Good luck.
