I am ready to lease a car asap and am looking at the VW EOS. what do you know about this model, as the price is a big steep for me? I really want a convertible, so can you give me any feedback or alternatives?
As it turns out I drive the Eos and really love it. It is a fun car to drive and handles great. It is a smaller car which I like. I have always wanted to drive a convertible but did not like the idea of the soft top. The hard top solved that issue.
It all depends of course on what you need to accomplish with your car. The back seat is a bit smaller than a typical sedan. If this is an issue, you may want to look at other convertibles. As always, the best idea is to test drive a car,see how you like it and ensure that it meets your needs.
Both Mazda and Mercedes have hard top convertibles. Mazda is a two seater.
If you find that you like driving the Eos and it suits your lifestyle, I think you will be very happy with your choice! And if you are in DC Metro area, please stop in and see us.

Thank you for visiting AskPatty.com.
Here are a couple of links that will provide some feedback and reviews on the EOS.
You may also want to consider a Convertible Mini Cooper as an alternative.
