Hi I need to know about ford Taruses. I am a victim of domestic violence no lets change that i WAS a victim. My tyota was towed from in front of the domestic violence shelter where i had arrived wearing only the clothes on my back.
Now a friend of a friend offered me an old Tarus and i dont know anything about these cars or thir worth. All I know is, my neighborhood is so bad that my actual physical life is dependent on me getting a car, any car. A police car just got shot at a block from the same street I walk down to get to work, and my shift can end as late as 3am, its a 2 mile walk. I have heard bullets hit the ground a few feet from where i stood and the pop pop is almost every night, with a car i can move closer to work, or go to a better job. I have spina bifida, scoliosis, and tethered spine and moving boxes is sometimes hard with these things, as is walking, if you saw my xray you'd understand its not a pity party really! Im living in a homeless shelter now but its not as bad as it sounds. Sorry to get off track.
ANYWAY Anything specific you can tell me about Taruses is great, I think the year is a 1995?? And if his deal falls, are there any programs to help women in my situation, the dv shelter was no help at all. I love my job and fought hard for my promotion at work even if it doesn't pay good, but its hard to get ahead when you feel like your only a step away from a bullet. Thanks I dont really expect a reply but I believe in hoping anyway!

Thank you for your inquiry.
If you are in the kind of situation you say you are in, then my recommendation is to take anything you can get. Certainly, American made vehicles do not last as long as foreign cars, and since the Ford you are talking about is a 1995 vehicle then I

What a blessing you have been offered a vehicle, ford taurus are decent cars. Does hurt to change spark plugs and wires for preventative reasons. Good Luck and write back if you have more questions. You can contact Brenda Jackson at
firstname.lastname@example.org, she may be able to provide more information about obtaining a vehicle.

So sorry to hear about all your bad luck. I do hope things improve for you. As far as the car, as long as it has been well maintained, a Ford Taurus can be a very reliable car. If you need to put a price on it, I suggest going to kellybluebook.com and entering in some specific information about the vehicle. Good luck and stay positive.
