It seems when I drive on the freeway the check engine light comes on and after a couple of days it goes out. What could cause this?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Robert, You should go to a shop and have them hook up a scan tool. Many times even though the light goes out it still stores a code. Once you have a code number you will have a better idea of what is going on. Don't ignore this just because the light is going off. You don't want to chance bigger problems down the road. Lori Johnson
