Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Patty, You may just have blown bulbs. To replace the bulb on the gear shifter you do have to remove the assembly to access that bulb. You can try to remove the ashtray completely to replace the "peanut bulb" inside. If you have trouble, take it to a dealership and ask for their help. AJ Pierce
