My car has been running bad for 2 months. It has no power, now it just sits there when you push on the gas. It starts fine, but will not go. One friend said it was the converter plugged up, someone else said it needed a timing belt. It has 110 thousand on it and it ran so good till this. I am afraid that the shop will charge me more than it really takes to fix it. I have had bad luck with repairs in the past. Thanks Sherry O

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Sherry, It could be a number of things and yes the timing belt it due to be replaced at around 90k miles, check your owner's manual for exact replacement mileage. A clogged catalytic converter can cause those driveability concerns as well. Check your transmission fluid condition and level as well. AJ Pierce
