I recently purchased a 1994 BMW 740iL and we had our first snow storm and there my car sat, stuck in the snow.
What do you recommend for tires? I knew tires were needed when I bought them, but the thought of having 2 sets, regular & winter seemed too much.
Can you recommend a tire that will accommodate all weather? While I do live in lower NY, I travel a lot to eastern Connecticut.

They make basically 3 kinds of tires.
1. summer tires
2. all-season tires
3. winter tires
If you encounter snow on a regular basis and your life is such that snow on the road does not give you a "snow day" where you can just stay at home, then I highly recommend you take the time, trouble and expense of purchasing winter tires. It is by fare way less expensive to deal with the thought of having 2 sets, regular & winter then the thought of getting stuck in the snow or worse, sliding into an accident.
My feelings are that the best all-season tire is not as good as the cheapest snow tire. I don
