My 2007 (new) Volvo XC70 pulls to the right. Tires, balance, wheels, etc. have been checked by dealership. Nothing found.
Also, there seems to be excessive noise on the highway.

A new car should not pull to the right and have excessive noise on the highway.
Did the dealer tell you that everything was OK? If they did, I would return to the dealer and ask the Service Writer or have them get the Technician that worked on the car to come with me on a road test so I could point out the pull and the noise.

Sounds like it very well could be a front or rear wheel bearing that is faulty. Being that it is a 2007, it is well within its means of factory warranty. I would have those wheel bearings checked if it has a humming noise on the highway and pulls hard in one direction.

I would suggest the next step would probably be an alignment. Being out of alignment can definitely cause a pull to one side and also cause tire noise.
