patty how do you find out the real facts about a certain car that you know you want? I am interested in a honda insight with gas saving being the most appealing to me. it seems to get the best millage of all the hybrid cars. Do you agree or do you know of a better type car for this intended use. thank you sandra white
Thank you for your inquiry.
First, let me say that the Honda Insight was discontinued in 2006. The vehicle that has taken its place is the Honda Civic Hybrid. The Civic Hybrid gets 40 miles to the gallon in City driving and 45 miles to the gallon in highway driving. And, in some cases, you can actually get up to 50 miles to the gallon if you do mostly highway driving.
Although the Toyota Prius Hybrid is a close comparison to the Honda Civic Hybrid, there have been recalls on the vehicle this year due to battery problems.
That being said, my recommendation would be to take a serious look at the Honda Civic Hybrid. You want to get a vehicle with the factory warranty or at least most of the factory warranty if it is a pre-owned vehicle.
Good luck in your decision.

To find out information on a certain car, go online and google "review of honda insight" and then read the reviews.
If you really want a Hybrid you might also want to look at the Toyota Prius.
If you are only looking at Hybrids because of gas savings, you should also check out
