I have purchased a 2005 Kia Amanti, it is a beautiful car however I thought I would get better gas mileage than I am. Is there something I may be doing wrong that would boost it. It really is getting poor mileage like 13 or 14 MPG. Is it possible there needs to be some kind of adjustment or is this normal for this car??
I love the car and travel only 10 miles to work so it is not something I would consider getting rid of because of that I just thought it would be better.

If you take a look at this website, you can see what the MPG should be for your vehicle.
You'll see that city driving is 15. If you feel the vehicle is running rough or sluggish, I would recommend that you have a technician do diagnostic testing to make sure the vehicle is running efficiently. Spark and fuel problems could cause the vehicle to run less efficient. It seems that you're pretty close to their MPG however.
Simple things like checking tire pressure could even make a difference.
