When would you change the transmission fluid in a CVT transmission like the nissan murano has. The book does not require but recommends 60k. Also do you think it is a good Idea just to replace all hoses and belts at 60k or just have them checked at every oil change. Should the mechanic be able to tell when the hoses and belts are worn down?

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Tina, It's never a bad thing to do service to your vehicle. If you're worried about the warranty, check with the dealer so as not to void it. They may require that you change it at a certain mileage. Again, you're not hurting it by doing the service, it's probably better to do than not. As for belts and hoses, the technicians can absolutely tell when they are getting worn and need to be replaced. They should be looking at these items every time you are in for service. Lori Johnson
