I'm thinking of buying a used 1998 Toyota Camry for my son who is attending college. I hear that this vehicle is very reliable. What do you think? thanks

Amy Mattinat, Owner and Author at Auto Craftsmen Ltd Hi Miriam, I think you are making a good choice. Toyota's are my favorite car. They are safe, reliable, cost effective and can last a long time if they are maintained properly. Here at my shop we have 2 Camry loaners and 1 Corolla loaner. They all have over 200,000 miles on them. Please make sure you have the vehicle inspected thoroughly by a professional mechanic to make sure it is worthy of spending money on, and that is will last another 100k miles. Thoroughly means that they take at least 1.5 hours if not 2 hrs. for their inspection service. All My Best, Amy Mattinat

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Miriam, I too can sing the praises of Toyota. I'm still driving my 19 year old truck with 268,000 miles on it with no sign of stopping. Good luck. Lori Johnson
