I am experiencing issues with gear shifting. Immediately after receiving an oil change and currently, gears aren't shifting properly. It's sluggish when accelerating and briefly goes into reverse when in drive from time to time.

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Dashulla, Having your oil changed would not affect your transmission shifting. It's probably just a coincidence that it started at the same time. When was the last time you had a transmission service? I would recommend that you take your vehicle to a certified transmission shop or dealership to have this problem looked at. This can become a serious problem while driving if the gears are not shifting properly. Lori Johnson
