Every time I get my oil changed they suggest I flush my transmission fluid. I've tried to do some research online, but couldn't find much information. Is that really necessary?

Amy Mattinat, Owner and Author at Auto Craftsmen Ltd Hi Mia, Do you have an automatic transmission or a manual transmission? Different fluids would be used in different area of your car depending on which kind of transmission your vehicle has. I would recommend having a trained Hyundai mechanic or the dealer complete the transmission service at the appropriate time listed in your owners manual. This will give you maximum performance, reliability and longevity of your transmission and also cost you less then having to replace your transmission if you neglect to take care of it properly. All My Best, Amy Mattinat
