bought used 2005 Ford freestar van-14000 km needs celliniod replaced & check engine light keeps going on, gas gauge computer-changes fuel level(72000km),remote doors say open& it is $2500 work. maintenance is kept up @ same dealer I bought it. No shock damage or muffler ok. Doors do not rattle. All this happened suddenly? Am I getting ripped off?
Depending on when you bought it, you should find out if they will help with repair costs. This seems like a lot of things to go wrong with this vehicle.
It also sounds like it could be costly. Depending on why the check engine light is on and the cost of the parts to fix everything, this may truly be the price.
The only thing to do is shop around to see if you can have the work done for a cheaper price. You will have to have a list of everything that needs to be done in order the get an accurate price. Good Luck.
