My 1999 Olds Alero has a \"wrinkly forehead\"...the covering on the top of the dash has come unattached and has shriveled. I have been told the entire dash will need to be replaced at the tune of $500 minimum. Have checked for recalls to no avail. It seems other Alero owners have the same problem. Have you heard of this problem and do you have any advice?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Patty Streeter, at AskPatty.com Since is is not under warrantee and there are no recalls the best you can do is contact the dealership you purchased it from , speak to the General Sales Manager and ask him to help make it right. Let him know you are a good customer and need his help. You can file a complaint here as well: http://www.autosafety.org/article.php?did=130&scid=60
