I am considering buying a VW Passat (2001) for approximately $10,000. The car has 41000 miles on it and looks to be in great shape. I've yet to take it to a mechanic for a final check, but I was wondering what your opinion is based on the information I gave you. Thanks, Renee

Patty Streeter, at AskPatty.com Without knowing the exact model you are buying it is hard to know if the $10,000 price is a good deal. Edmunds has a good tool to compare used car pricing, go here to check: http://www.edmunds.com/used/2001/volkswagen/passat/index.html
