Hi, I am driving 94 Buick Skylark 4Dr Sedan. Everything is fine but gear shifting after overnight parking. The transmission not responding until idling long time (1-3 min). It is o.k. once it works and during operation. Thank you.

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Hk, You may want to take your transmission in for service and have the check the seals and the transmission fluid. Sometimes if the wrong fluid is put in the transmission or there's a problem with the fluid it can cause the seals inside to swell. Once the transmission warms up the fluid is able to get by the seals and everything works fine. Have a transmission shop look at it and give you a diagnosis. Lori
