Something keeps on draining my battery. I have a new battery, starter, and alternator with no accessories hooked up. What can be the problem?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Victor, Some things that can drain a battery if there are problems are, a security system, lights staying on..inside door, dome or trunk light. The best thing to do is to take your vehicle in and a have a technician do a battery voltage drop test to see how bad the drain is, then search for the problem. You really need to use a meter to figure out this problem. Did your problem start after replacing the battery, alternator or starter? If so, I'd check there first. Lori
