Our 2003 GMC Envoy ac has stopped working and only blows HOT air since we had a new battery installed. What is the deal???

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Jamey Wozniak, Owner and CEO at Joe's Hitch, Trailer & Truck Accessories It's possible that its an elctrical problem, a certified technician specializing in AC should look at it.

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines I don't see why replacing a battery would affect your a/c. Most likely it's just a coincidence. The compressor may not be working, a blend door may be stuck..only allowing hot air or it may be low on refrigerant. You should take this vehicle in and have the system tested.

Patty Streeter, at AskPatty.com Sharon, You should take your car in to be checked out by a technician. Make sure the shop you are going to has ASE certified techs and is an ASE blue seal shop. You can search for one of these shops in your area here: http://www.ase.com/bluesealsearch/locator.php Good luck!
