2004 Honda Accord Car Maintenance and Repair Question:

We cannot slide the front seat of our Honda forward on the track because a coin fell on the track and is jammed there. How can we loosen the seat on the track and remove the offending coin?

The first thing to do is remove the seat from the vehicle. There is a bolt at each corner of the seat that secures it to the floor of the vehicle. Remove the bolts and then take the seat out. Then turn the seat upside down on a table and locate the coin and remove it, You will probably have to grasp the coin with pliers or a like tool to be able to pull it loose.

Audra Fordin, Owner at Great Bear Auto Shop Dear Florenece, There are bolts that hold the seat in place. By loostening them, you should be able to loosen the seat to get the coin out. For safety reasons, it is most important is to make sure you tighten the seat real good when you put it back together. Mechanically yours, Audra@womenAUTOknow.com
